Nutscene has been involved in the manufacturing and processing of jute twines and ancillary products for the gardener since 1922. The Company patented the first "pull from centre spool" of garden twine, which has been copied by many but never equaled. Our name is derived from our world famous green twine which, when tied around the plant cannot be seen thus "Not Seen".

From our origins within the jute industry in Dundee, Scotland the home of "Jute, Jam and Journalism", our 'Heritage Range' was conceived and developed. Utilising natural materials and fibres, the range reintroduces jute as an up-to-date and ecofriendly material. This range has been in partnership with a number of British craftsmen and women, thus supporting a network of rural business throughout the UK.

Our logo "Wilbert" was dug from Nutscene's archives, dusted down and now graces shop windows in stores across the world. Look out for him on all our traditional and modern products he is your assurance of Nutscene quality and authenticity.
